PED-compliant pressure equipment calculations
At Nordic Engineering, we perform detailed calculations for pressure-retaining equipment, including pressure vessels, in accordance with the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 2014/68/EU.
Our work is based on internationally recognized standards such as EN 13445, AD 2000, and ASME VIII Div. 1, ensuring that all pressure equipment meets the highest standards for safety and quality.
Complete documentation package
We take care of the full scope—from design and mechanical calculations to the preparation of a complete documentation package.
Working closely with notified bodies, we manage the entire certification process to ensure compliance and CE marking.
Advanced software
For pressure vessel calculations, we use advanced tools such as Hexagon VVD (Visual Vessel Design) and Hexagon PV Elite CX, primarily applying standards like EN 13445, AD 2000 Merkblätter, or ASME VIII Div. 1.
This guarantees that all pressure equipment meets the requirements of PED 2014/68/EU.
Complex designs and finite element analysis (FEA)
For special or non-standard designs where standard calculation software is not applicable, we typically carry out finite element analysis (FEA).
This method allows for in-depth evaluation and validation of the design, ensuring structural integrity and performance under pressure and load.
