Effective cleaning in sanitary applications
Thorough cleaning of valves and piping systems is essential in sanitary applications. Incomplete cleaning can lead to product residues in the valve cavity, potentially contaminating the next batch. IMI PBM’s self-cleaning ball valve design guarantees full CIP/SIP access to all valve parts even in the fully open position. This allows both process fluid and cleaning solutions to flow freely through the valve cavity without the need for external cleaning ports or valve removal, reducing downtime and maintenance costs.

High performance and flexibility
The valves are equipped with adjustable seats (Adjust-O-Seal®), providing full upstream and downstream sealing and enabling effective cleaning, flushing, and draining of the valve body. The design ensures full unobstructed flow; for example, a 1″ IMI PBM valve can match the flow capacity of a 2″ diaphragm valve.

Fire safety rating and versatile customization
Self-cleaning ball valves can be supplied with fire-safe certification according to API-607. Their True-Bore® design makes them ideal for pigging systems. A wide range of automation and process control systems with direct mounting is available, along with the option for patented locking handles. Independent test reports can be provided upon request.

Custom surface finishes
The valves can be delivered with various mechanical surface treatments as well as electropolishing to meet specific process requirements.
