Fire-Safe valves – safety first
IMI PBM offers a range of valves available with fire-safe certification. These valves are designed to handle flammable media in industrial process environments and meet the highest standards for safety and reliability.

Certified fire safety
The valves are API-607 certified and equipped with a metallic back-up seat. In the event that the primary PTFE seats melt during a fire, the metal-to-metal seal ensures the valve ball remains sealed. This limits leakage and reduces the risk of damage to the plant.

Reliable performance and flexible design
IMI PBM’s fire-safe valves are rated for full vacuum, making them suitable for demanding process conditions. Full upstream and downstream sealing enables complete cleaning, flushing, and draining of the valve body, minimizing the risk of contamination. The valves can be customized with CIP and drain connections, patented locking handles, and filler materials that minimize cavities behind the valve ball, eliminating dead zones where media could accumulate and contaminate the process.
