Efficient design for safe instrument isolation
These instrument valves from IMI PBM are designed to remain “live” in the open position and are only closed when isolation of the instrument is required for service or replacement.

Prevention of pressure buildup
While conventional instrument valves maintain pressure at the instrument even when closed, PBM’s sanitary block & vent valve is engineered to prevent pressure buildup around the instrument.
Once isolated from the system, the valve allows the operator to safely disconnect the instrument.

User-friendly operation and flexibility
The valves feature easy quarter-turn operation. The operating handle can be supplied with extensions and locking options for enhanced safety and ease of use. Valves can also be equipped with additional ports for instrumentation and venting.

Certifications and safety standards
IMI PBM’s instrument valves are tested and certified according to leading industry standards:

  • SIL-3 compliant according to IEC 61508
  • Low-E packing tested to API 622 standard (rev. 2) – average stem packing leakage: 10 ppmv (allowable limit: 100 ppm)
  • API 607 Rev. 4 fire-tested for maximum safety
  • ASME Class 1500 welded design standard ensuring robustness under high pressure
