Continuous drying with RINA Flash Dryer models
The RINA Flash Dryer series is designed for continuous operation, by either atomising slurries or feeding wet solids into a ring-shaped or straight drying chamber. This advanced drying solution is particularly suitable for products that require high-temperature treatment to achieve rapid evaporation.

High-temperature atomisation technology
When drying suspensions, the chamber is equipped with a bi-fluid nozzle and operates at high temperatures to enable instantaneous evaporation.
For separated wet solids, product feed is handled via screw conveyors and/or rotary valves.

Centrifugal force and ring-shaped design
The ring chamber uses the centrifugal force generated by high-speed airflow to recirculate heavier particles until the required dryness level is reached. The fine particles, being lighter, are extracted via vacuum.

Flexible straight-chamber option
The flash dryer is also available in a straight-chamber configuration. The mixed stream of vapour and dry particles is pneumatically conveyed to a powder separation system. Various separation components—such as cyclones, bag filters, and scrubbers—can be configured to minimise fine particle loss and comply with local emission regulations.

Compact, low-maintenance design
RINA Flash Dryers feature a compact design with minimal moving parts, resulting in reduced maintenance requirements. Units can be adapted to the layout of existing production facilities. For highly abrasive products, internal lining with wear-resistant materials may be required.

Safe and adaptable operation
From a safety perspective, the RINA Flash Dryer can be configured for use in explosion-risk environments, with the necessary certifications or approvals for the installation site. The drying system can also operate in a closed-loop configuration with nitrogen, if required.
