Custom-engineered valves
IMI PBM’s Double Block & Bleed valves are custom-engineered based on standard components. They are available in a wide range of materials and pressure ratings to meet specific customer specifications and requirements.
High safety and reliable isolation
These valves are designed for applications requiring venting of the valve cavity to prevent contamination of the final product and to ensure reliable pipeline isolation during service. They are commonly used in pharmaceutical, food production, and oil refinery sectors where safety and reliability are critical.
Double positive isolation and flexible design
IMI PBM’s Double Block & Bleed valves provide double positive isolation and come in both welded and bolted body designs. The valves operate with a quarter-turn mechanism, and the operating handle can be customized with extensions and locking devices for optimal safety and ease of use.
Additional features and certifications
The valves can be equipped with extra ports for instrumentation and venting.
They also comply with important industry standards and hold comprehensive certifications, including:
- SIL-3 compliance according to IEC 61508
- Low-E packing tested to API 622 standard (rev. 2) – average leakage at the stem packing of 10 ppmv (allowable limit: 100 ppm)
- API 607 Rev. 4 fire-tested for enhanced safety
- ASME Class 1500 welded design standard, ensuring robust construction for high-pressure applications.
